Metro Stylee @ Gramercy Theatre, NYC – 1.19.14

Besides the Pilfers, everybody was there to see Metro Stylee perform again with their original lineup. I saw them reunite at Apple Stomp last Spring and they were a lot of fun and the same can be said this time around as well!

The lighting was better for Metro Stylee’s set, which is odd because the others were darker. I wish the lighting design just would be bright as hell for the first 3 songs and then the lighting guy can do whatever he or she wants afterwards. I still prefer the lighting at Gramercy than Irving Plaza but both places can be fine if they just added some white front lighting. It could also be the band’s preferences on what they want as well. Thankfully Metro Stylee’s set had some nice orange colors to change things up. Like the other sets, I sat in the pit for 3 songs and then shot around the club after that. I had All Access but when it comes to Live Nation venues, they get pissy and won’t let me shoot in the pit longer than that (even with All Access). I guess they like to make up the rules as they go along.
