Mephiskapheles @ Apple Stomp: Day 2, Irving Plaza, NYC – 6.1.13
June 7, 2013 | Concert Photography
D-O-G-G-O-D! Mephiskapheles was their usual self: intense, energetic and awesome to see live! Even though I saw them on Rocks Off Boat back in the Fall, I was still looking forward to seeing Meph since I didn’t actually “see” the band perform on the boat.
For more extensive review of the Apple Stomp, read my reviews of Day 1 and Day 2.
For whatever reason, I thought the lighting would suck for Meph but ended up being pretty good and bright. I think Meph is probably one of the few bands where red lighting works. I got a lot of good shots of Andre, some of Greg but tried my best to get the other guys in the band. I wanted some shots of Brian playing the keys but he was tucked away in the back so couldn’t get any shots until I was out of the pit. I’m really happy with the photos I got and I’ve come a long way since taking pictures of Meph with a crappy point & shoot camera. I’ll have to still re-scan those photos and re-upload them to the site one of these days.
