Masked Intruder @ Santos Party House, NYC – 3.2.13
March 3, 2013 | Concert Photography
Masked Intruder was the first band to hit the stage at Santos Party House and they put on a fun set! The band sports color ski masks so they are an interesting band to photograph!

For the entire show, I hung out in the lounge area in the back of the club, which I remember was there when I was at Santos Party House the last time. I was on assignment for NME and it was for the stupid drug rap group Salem. It was a miserable show to photograph but thankfully this one was better. I shot exclusively with the 70-200mm f2.8 for the show and just tried to get shots in focus and get the band members posing in different ways. Only negative about shooting from the back in that lounge area is there’s a pillar in the way so you kind of need to hang over it to get all the members of the band.
