Sgt. Scagnetti @ Bowery Electric, NYC – 11.17.18

Sgt. Scagnetti opened the Mustard Plug show at Bowery Electric on November 17th, 2018 and you can read my full review of the show at ReadJunk.com.

Sgt Scag prove again that they are one of my favorite bands to photograph live. Very energetic and moving around, especially frontman Steve. Jesse has the best guitarist faces and make me laugh when he does them. Sticking his tongue out, bugging out his eyes on random spots and other things like that. Mike gets in there too and moves around playing the sax too. I actually really like these photos better than the ones at Clash Bar since the lighting was pretty crappy there. These photos were a lot more sharp and crisp, and colorful too.

I shot with the Nikon d800 and used 14-24 and 24-70mm f2.8 lenses. I shot around ISO 3200 and around 1/200- 1/250th for the most part. Sometimes I went lower than that but then that’s where things get a little blurry when people are moving so fast.
