Cenzo @ Bowery Electric, NYC – 11.17.18
November 21, 2018 | Concert Photography
Cenzo opened the Mustard Plug show at Bowery Electric on November 17th, 2018 and you can read my full review of the show at ReadJunk.com.
Believe it or not, I never really listened to Cenzo or seen them live so I didn’t know what to expect. Since it’s Vinny from Bim and Pilfers, I knew it would be fun shooting the band since he’s such a great showman. Always at the front of the crowd, and in some cases, in the crowd. I thought I was going to get hit with his trombone several times since he was playing so close. I’ve gotten spit on me in the past at like Coney Island High but never got hit by Vinny’s t-bone.
I was at the front getting some shots of the band and Vinny kept going into the crowd which made for some interesting shots. Another case of being in the right place at the right time. Doesn’t always happen for shows but that night I was in the right spot. For this set, I mostly to the 14-24mm lenses since Vinny was performing so close to me. I did use the 24-70 at times to get other members of the band.
