New York Comic Con 2018: Friday – 10.5.18
October 20, 2018 | Other Photography
New York Comic Con 2018 was a lot of fun and can’t wait to do it again next year! Friday October 5th was the better of two days in terms of cosplay, but also meant it was a lot more crowded. You can read mu full write-up at ReadJunk.com.
I went outside and down by the food trucks more often this day since more people were posing there. All the cosplayers were lining up with other photographers, and just seemed where all great cosplayers ended up. There was a guy that looked just like Jared Leto’s The Joker from Suicide Squad so he was posing with Batman and other people. Then model Erica Fett was posing with other people dressed up like characters from Westworld so couldn’t pass up taking a few shots of that.
I got a breather in the beginning by going to the Batman Animated Series panel. I took some photos from my seat using my telephoto lens 70-200mm f2.8. For the most part though, I took photos with my 24-70mm f2.8 and didn’t disappoint me. I would have liked to use 14-24mm f2.8 lens more often for people posing for cosplay but sometimes it looks too distorted.
All in all, I love shooting NYCC and can’t wait to go again next year!
