PEARS @ Webster Hall, NYC – 4.23.17

PEARS opened up the Me First and the Gimme Gimmes show at Webster Hall on April 23rd, 2017. You can read my review over at ReadJunk.com.

I never seen PEARS before but they were a blast to photograph. Well, mainly the singer was a blast to photograph. He reminded me of an angrier Jello Biafra. constantly moving around but posing for cameras up front. He seemed to come to me a lot which was nice. I ended up with a lot of cool shots of the band and would love to shoot them again.

It’s been 2 years since shooting at Webster Hall and the lighting was okay. Little heavy in the back and not as much up front. I’m just happy they have a human side photo pit, unlike what they used to have a few years ago.
