Direct Hit @ Irving Plaza, NYC – 4.29.16
May 4, 2016 | Concert Photography
Direct Hit played second at the NOFX show and I never saw them before. They were fun to see and looking forward to hearing their new album coming out soon.
My full review is at ReadJunk.com if you want to read it there.
I liked Direct Hit even though they were poking fun of photographers. I assume they don’t mind cool photos of them rocking out, which is our goal and not that TMZ shit. But whatever, I laughed. Lighting was typical Irving Plaza, some good colors in one song, ugly in the next. Some of the members were in a weird zone on stage since the lighting covered them by like 65%. The rest of them were in the dark so at times it looked weird. I still managed to get a few good shots, despite having to work in a crowded photo pit for this show.
