Rise Against @ Central Park SummerStage, NYC – 7.28.15

Rise Against played Central Park on Tuesday July 28th and they were awesome as usual. You can read the full review over at ReadJunk.com if you want.
They are a great band to photograph, especially of guitarist Zach Blair because of all the jumping he does. I managed to get an amazing jump shot of him, so much that I want to print out and hang up in my place. I like shooting Central Park Summerstage but sometimes the bands are positioned too far away. They were in the middle of the stage a lot of the time so it was tough getting decent shots at time. You had to wait for them to move up to the front of the stage to get something of quality. During the second song, I had to use the 70-200mm f2.8 to get some better shots since the 24-70mm f2.8 lens wasn’t cutting it.
Besides a few shots of Zach, the photos could have been a little bit more exciting but that’s the problem with shooting the first 3 songs. The band doesn’t get into it sometimes until later on. If I made my way through the crowd, I would have gotten some cooler shots of Tim singing in the crowd. It was too crowded to get a decent spot to take a picture in the back so I just enjoyed the show for the most part.
