Pilfers (Set 1) @ The Wick, Brooklyn, NY – 3.14.15
March 19, 2015 | Concert Photography
Pilfers opened for themselves on Saturday March 14th, 2015 and it was a record release party/birthday celebrations for Coolie Ranx and Nick Bacon in the band. I guess you can say Coolie’s son Mark as well since that day was his actual birthday. It was a long night of music and I captured a lot of it!
I talked about the show more in detail over at ReadJunk.com.
I never shot at the Wick before but I liked it despite no front lighting. I think if they add some front lighting, it would be a nice setup. I’m glad I brought my flash since I needed it for a lot of the sets. In the back it was okay with LED lightings but up front, nothing. Sometimes I would change settings around and shoot ISO 6400 to see what I would get. Since Pilfers opened up the set, I was trying a few settings to see which worked out. I don’t think I got the right settings until the next band though.
That’s it for this set, moving on to the next batch of photos….
