Mad Caddies @ Santos Party House, NYC – 5.16.14
May 19, 2014 | Concert Photography
Mad Caddies finally returned to NYC after several years of not playing here. You can read my full review of the show at ReadJunk.com for more insight on what they played or didn’t play.
The last time I saw Mad Caddies, it was either in 98 or 99 at the Warped Tour. I shot their set with either a point and shoot camera or my old Nikon film camera. I used to have those photos on this site but removed them since the sizes were so tiny. I need to re-scan all my film photographs one of these days. Anyway, like the other two sets, I sat in the same spot and got some good photos despite the club being very packed in. Just had to be patience with photos of each member. If they weren’t on my side of the stage, they would eventually make their way over there at some point.
At one point at the end, Eduardo the trombone player went into the crowd, and couldn’t really get any photos of him in the crowd. BUT I did get him crowd surfing back which would have made for a better photo anyway. I was in the right place at the right time, for a change. I got some good Sacha moments as well. I was happy to finally see the band again after all these years, and especially happy that I was there to document it.
