Joel Plaskett Emergency @ Central Park Summer Stage, NYC – 6.29.13

Joel Plaskett Emergency were second in the Canada Day concert at Central Park. I didn’t know who Joel Plaskett was but he was a fun performer to photograph!

Unlike SOTW’s set, I broke out the wide angle lens for this set since it seemed the band was closer to the stage. I’m glad I did because I ended up getting some cool shots of Joel and the band. But if you’re shooting at Summerstage, you definitely need a telephoto lens.

The sun was going down for this set so the stage lighting was kicking in too, which was nice. I like the mixture of outside and stage lighting, it makes for some nice photos.
