Old Man Markley @ Irving Plaza, NYC – 10.8.11
October 12, 2011 | Concert Photography
Old Man Markley were the second band of the evening at Irving Plaza. The Cali country punk band opened for NOFX on October 8th 2011 in New York City. I reviewed the show over at ReadJunk.com, which you can read over there.
For this set, I tried to get good shots of everyone in the band, which was tough considering there was a bunch of them. The lighting was decent, and better on certain members of the band. I used the 24-70mm f2.8 when I was in the pit, and then later on I snapped a few shots from the side using the 70-200mm f2.8. I just loved that OMMM had an old fashion washtub bass and someone playing the washboard. Felt like watching Emmett Otter’s Jugband. The band were great and really good live; I especially enjoyed shooting their set as well.
