Bearfoot @ Nokia Theatre, NYC – 3.14.09
March 17, 2009 | Concert Photography
Bearfoot was the opening band at the Saw Doctors concert last Saturday. They are a bluegrass band from Alaska and California and were pretty good. I’m not usually a bluegrass person myself besides William Elliott Whitmore, but this band was quite talented.
I never heard of the band before, but I was impressed with the singing and fiddle playing. Saw Doctors usually pick interesting opening bands, and their streak continues with Bearfoot. As far the lighting was concerned, it was very bright and easy to shoot. Very straight forward, good lighting and typical band poses. I could have gotten different angles of the bands but they didn’t venture that far from their spots. But I was still happy with the photos that I took of Bearfoot. For this set, I used my wide angle lens 18-70mm and the 70-200mm f2.8 lens. My usual lenses.
