Over the years, I have been asked a lot of questions from newcomers. While I don’t mind answering each e-mail that is sent to me. I figured it would be more helpful to just have all the answers all in the same spot. If the question isn’t below, then send me an e-mail and I’ll try my best to answer it. Below you’ll find the Concert Photography Frequently Asked Questions:

Flogging Molly continue to be one of the most exciting bands to see live and to photograph live as well. Even though all the kids love to be screamed out these days, Flogging Molly are still one of the most popular bands on the Warped Tour.

Gallows have been talked about amongst concert photographers for awhile now. You need to experience their shows for yourself to truly understand what kind of band Gallows are. They are a UK Hardcore band that just released their 2nd album called Grey Britain. Even if you don’t like hardcore, definitely check them out on the Warped Tour this year!

The next band on the main stage at the Warped Tour was The Chiodos. Again, wasn’t a fan. Clearly the kids enjoyed their set a lot and were going crazy for them. I just wanted to take pictures of as many bands as I could so they were simply the next ones on the list.

The first band I shot for the Vans Warped Tour this year was Christian metal band The Devils Wears Prada. I haven’t heard their music before but I don’t think I really heard it at the concert anyway since it’s nothing but screaming. But despite that, they at least make some great faces for photographs. I just wish the band didn’t spit so god damn much. Oops I said god damn…

I got my first photo published in a magazine! I’ve had my photos published on other websites before but not in print until now. I’ve been trying to get my photographs in Alternative Press Magazine for awhile now so it’s really awesome to finally get a photo in there. It’s of Mike of Street Dogs at this year’s Warped Tour in Scranton, PA. It’s in the newest issue, #247 with All Time Low on the cover. Now only if I can get into Spin, Rolling Stone, NME and others..

1. The Kooks @ Terminal 5, NYC

This is one of my favorite photos this year. The shot is of Luke Pritchard of the Kooks at Terminal 5 in New York City. What I like about this shot is the composition, the lighting and the rockstar pose.

Katy Perry became famous right as she started the The Vans Warped Tour. I had no idea who the hell she was until she started the tour. Her number 1 hit single “I Kissed the Girl” is the song of the summer and many people flocked to the Hurley.com stage to see her perform at the Warped Tour in Scranton, PA. I wanted to make sure to get some photos of her because she’s popular now, plus she’s not too bad on the eyes either.

Last time I saw Street Dogs, it was back in 2005 on the Warped Tour at Randall’s Island. I got a great shot of Mike jumping from the speakers and I was hoping to get another one this year. The band was one of the few bands I really wanted to check out this year on the tour. Mike always brings his “A game” when he comes to performing and this year they didn’t disappoint either!

The last time I saw The Aggrolites, they opened for the Dropkick Murphys at Tinks in Scranton, PA. I was supposed to have passes for that and Epitaph messed up. Thankfully The tour manager of the Dropkick Murphys got me into the show so I could see at least The Aggrolites. I was impressed with the band’s live show and they moved around so much for being a reggae band…well Dirty Reggae band.
