Hub City Stompers @ Knitting Factory, Brooklyn, NY – 3.24.17
March 27, 2017 | Concert Photography
Hub City Stompers opened up the Voodoo Glow Skulls show at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on March 24th 2017. You can read my full review over at ReadJunk.com.
I sat in the same spot for the entire set of Hub City Stompers, took pictures and danced a little. The club was pretty packed by then so didn’t feel like losing my spot by the stage. I kind of hate when I need to take a piss but don’t want to lose my spot. Anywho, photography speak: The lighting was great for HCS set and probably the best for the entire night. It was bright and colorful. I switched between two lenses for their set, the 24-70 and 14-24mm lenses. The later was great because I could get everybody in the same shot. Their keyboardist was tough to get at times though.
I was glad I got the entire set to shoot since it gave me more chances of capturing people in focus since Travis moves around a lot but just picking my spots in general. In the end, think I got some of the best photo I’ve taken of HCS to date.
