Sammy Kay and The Fast Four @ Skalapalooza 2012 at Gramercy Theatre, NYC – 10.21.12
October 23, 2012 | Concert Photography
Sammy Kay and The Fast Four were second on bill for Skalapalooza 2012. The Snails were backing Sammy Kay and their skinhead reggae was a welcomed change to the show. The front lighting wasn’t turned on for Across The Aisle but then it was for these guys so I was happy about that!
You can read my review over at ReadJunk.com about the show. I was happy with a lot of these photos of Sammy Kay and Fast Four. The lighting was perfect and captured some nice shots of Sammy K. I lucked out with one because I think someone’s flash went off and lit his face.
After the three songs, I shot some photos up in the seating like I did for the rest of the bands. As much as I love the 24-70mm f2.8, it seems like the 70-200mm f2.8 is a better lens sometimes. The shots come out clearer but it could have been just been better exposed shots. I don’t know haha.
