The Architects @ Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC – 3.2.10
March 4, 2010 | Concert Photography
The Architects hail from Kansas City, Missouri and used to be in the ska band The Gadjits. Now they play punk rock, mixed in with some old style rock n roll and I liked what I heard!
They opened the Green 17 tour featuring Frank Turner and Flogging Molly, and this show was at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. For a full review of the concert, please read the review here.
I was late getting into the venue so I missed the first song from the Architects. I quickly ran into the pit when I got my pass and had to adjust my settings in a hurry. Usually I have the ISO cranked up high and everything dialed down to fit low lighting settings before even getting to the venue. This time I didn’t so had to do that before shooting. The lighting was straight forward and not that bad. I concentrated on the singer first, but then saw the guitarist doing hair whips…so I had to get some shots of that as well. In a nutshell, that’s really about it with the Architects. Just a straight forward set.
