Spring Heeled Jack @ Radicsfest, Gramercy Theatre, NYC – 7.19.19

Spring Heeled Jack played 4th at Radicsfest on July 19th, 2019. You can read my full review of the show at ReadJunk.com.

It’s been 6 years since I last photographed Spring Heeled Jack and I think I liked these photos the best and thought I captured the band the best with shots from Radicsfest. The lighting was colorful and they were animated. Plus the shots were in focus, unlike some previous sets where I my camera or lighting wasn’t as good. I think I was focusing on Mike a lot since he was moving around a lot and was in prime lighting spot on the stage. It was cool to see Rob from NY Citizens come out again too.

Like for the other sets, I used the 24-70mm lens the most, followed by the 14-24mm and 70-200mm lens. I don’t remember what settings I shot but it was probably around ISO 3200-4000 and tried to be around 1/250th. Anything lower than that, and things start to get blurry.
