Rude Boy George @ Radicsfest, Gramercy Theatre, NYC – 7.19.19
July 24, 2019 | Concert Photography
Rude Boy George played second at Radicsfest on July 19th, 2019. You can read my full review of the show at ReadJunk.com.
I’ve been shooting Rude Boy George for 6 years now and this was the first time in 2 years that I’ve seen, and with the new lineup too! It was extra special to see Sal from Sonseed playing with the band too! That was a fun moment from the show. Loved hearing the new songs they covered as well.
Since I haven’t shot Jenny and Roger together singing, I tried to focus on that. Plus, when Jenny took out the flute I had to capture that as well since it’s not everyday I get to take picture of people playing the flute. For the most part, I shot with my 24-70mm lens, but used 14-24mm for a song or so too. Since my brother and I were switching between 70-200mm f2.8, I didn’t use that as much as I Would have liked.
I always like taking pictures at Gramercy Theatre since the lighting can be colorful at times, this was the case again for Radicsfest. Sometimes it was tough to get shots, it was a bit hazy too.
