Fortunate Youth @ Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park, NJ – 5.11.19
May 18, 2019 | Concert Photography
Fortunate Youth played at Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ last weekend to a sold out crowd. You can read my review of the show here.
I’ve never seen Fortunate Youth before but they were fun to shoot because the singer’s facial expressions are very photo-worthy. I kept trying to get some photos of the bongo/percussion player because it’s not everyday I get to shoot one. The band was a lot more interesting to shoot than Katastro for me, just because there were more members of the band coming up close to photographers or doing something besides just playing in the back.
It might have drizzled for this set in the beginning but didn’t affect anything with shooting. I used all three of my lenses, 24-70mm, 14-24mm and 70-200mm lenses and no idea where I was shooting. Probably something well above 1/300th or since I was trying to stat at f2.8.
