The Narrowbacks @ Knitting Factory, Brooklyn, NY – 9.5.18
September 9, 2018 | Concert Photography
I seem to shoot The Narrowbacks at some point this time of year every year. This time it wasn’t at the Jersey City Irish Festival but at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. They were opening up for the Young Dubliners who I try to see everytime they are in town.
For this set, the lighting was meh at Knitting Factory. I know it can be good but they didn’t really have much in terms of front lighting. A lot of back lighting so it made it harder to shoot but with that said, still managed to get some decent shots of the band. I mainly used the 24-70 f2.8 lens, maybe a picture or two with the 14-24mm f2.8 lens. I actually took the 50mm f1.4 lens because I haven’t really used it and ended up hated it. For some reason was making the shots a lot blurrier than I remember. It’s supposed to be sharp but I guess if you don’t focus right at the spot you’re using, it will look blurry.
