Mephiskapheles @ Starland Ballroom, Sayreville, NJ – 7.29.17

Mephiskapheles opened up the Mighty Mighty Bosstones show at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. You can read my full review of the show over at ReadJunk.com.

I’ve been seeing Meph for over 20 years now but it’s always a blast to see and shoot their sets. It’s tough getting sharp images of Andre because he’s always moving around and won’t sit still for too long. I tried my best to get shots of all the members. Sadly, I didn’t use the 14-24mm lens this time so I couldn’t get the entire band in one shot.

There was a stupid box in the pit, right in the center, so it made to move around a lot tougher. So after each song, I would hobble over the box to go to the other side. Just like the other sets, I wish the red lighting was gone because the other types of lighting is so much better looking. I guess red lighting is fitting for Mephiskapheles though.
