Hub City Stompers @ Gramercy Theatre, NYC – 10.6.16
October 9, 2016 | Concert Photography
Hub City Stompers played before The Selecter on Thursday night at Gramercy Theatre in NYC. You can read my full review over at ReadJunk.com.
I’ve seen and shot NJ’s Hub City Stompers a few times now so I knew what to expect. But usually Travis is a lot more active and really hard to nail down a photograph of him. At least with the first 3 songs, their set was a little toned down and not as hyper so it was easy to take photos of them.
For this set, I used the 24-70mm f2.8 for most of the 3 songs, and used the 14-24mm lens for a song as well. 14-24mm lens is great for Gramercy because you can fit the entire band in a shot and the stage is low enough that it doesn’t look too weird.
