The Descendents @ Punk Rock Bowling, Stone Pony Summerstage, Asbury Park, NJ – 6.11.16
June 25, 2016 | Concert Photography
The Descendents headlined the first night of Punk Rock Bowling in Asbury Park. My full review of the Day can be found here.
I can’t believe I only shot The Descendents one other time. I was supposed to shoot them headlining Riot Fest Brooklyn a few years ago but then that freak storm rolled thru for a half hour. I left Brooklyn thinking it was over and then they played Saint Vitus later that night. So the last time I saw them was back in 2011 at Roseland, I believe my last show there.
Figured Summerstage raised the PRB banner when the damn sun went down. Would have helped out when the sun was setting. The lighting was excellent when the sun went down. Really happy with the photos I got and got a lot of good ones of Stephen making awesome rock guitar faces. Like usual, Bill is hiding behind his drum set so it was tough getting photos of him. But when the sun is down, I wouldn’t mind seeing every show at Stone Pony Summerstage. Daytime is rough sometime when you’re shooting into the sun.
