Reel Big Fish @ Best Buy Theater, NYC – 6.16.15

Reel Big Fish headlined the show at Best Buy Theater in NYC on June 16th. Well co-headlined…but they played last. You can read my full review over at ReadJunk.com.

Reel Big Fish is another band I love to photograph. Aaron hams it up for the camera as well but the rest of the band can do a lot of goofy things too. It seems Billy and I have a thing wherever I shoot one of their sets, he has to flip me off. That streak continued! I also captured another funny moment when he was positioning himself behind Johnny Christmas bending over. He looked at me and noticed I took the photo and we both laughed because he knew I got the shot.

The lighting was good for RBF and bright enough to get good shots. I stuck with the 24-70mm f2.8 lens for the first 3 songs and then broke out the 70-200mm f2.8 when I was in the back in the seatings. Took some video back there as well.
