Fishbone @ Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn, NY – 5.2.15
May 6, 2015 | Concert Photography
Fishbone is a band everyone must photograph at least once. For whatever reason, I never saw them before and I can’t believe that since I’ve been listening to them on and off since the early 90s. Angelo Moore & company definitely disappoint!
I knew the crowd was going to go crazy for Fishbone and they certainly did. It’s been awhile shooting a show without a photo pit and one where it was sold out and rowdy. I was in a prime spot near Angelo and as soon as “Party at Ground Zero” started everybody went crazy. People dancing, pushing and a crowd surfer that went right over me. I was trying to shoot but not get my glasses and camera messed up either. My back took a beating but in the end, I got some killer shots of the band I thought.
I only lasted about 6 or 7 songs up front before I had enough and watched from the back. Great live band, after all these years and I hope I get to see them again soon…preferably with a photo pit.
