Allister @ Gramercy Theatre, NYC – 10.2.14
October 5, 2014 | Concert Photography
I don’t really remember Allister and never really listened to them but they were a fun band to photograph last week.
Just like Survay Says set, the lighting didn’t change for the first 3 songs and stayed a green-ish/blue-ish color for the songs I was in the pit for. I didn’t mind since there was some front lighting and it wasn’t this ugly green mess.
The band weren’t your typical punk band in terms of getting good shots…which is why I like to shoot punk shows. They do great poses, jump around, and aren’t boring and standing still. That’s important to me, from a photography perspective and from a casual viewer as well. I don’t want to watch a band just sit there and play their music. It’ boring. Allister weren’t boring.
