The Narrowbacks @ Jersey City Irish Festival, Jersey City, NJ – 9.27.14

The Narrowbacks played the Jersey City Irish Festival last Saturday night and I managed to catch some of their set. I was away for most of the day so I didn’t see the other acts but glad I caught the Narrowbacks again.

I caught the Narrowbacks last year with the Mahones, but I didn’t even know they were playing. I knew there was an Irish Festival happening and since I’m just a walk away from Exchange Place waterfront, I decided to check it out when I got home. Jersey City needs to do a little bit more advertising when it comes to events like these. I never know where to look and had to ask around on twitter when the Irish Festival was happening. I finally saw a sign for it 1 or 2 weeks before it happened.

The Narrowbacks looked like they were already playing for awhile and the crowd was loving it. They played a lot of covers including an interesting take on Blink 182, Neil Young and the Lumineers. There was even a Flogging Molly cover as well. Fun group to see and it was beautiful outside, especially for the Fall.
