Mayweather @ Cake Shop, NYC – 5.30.14

Mayweather opened up the Apple Womp/ Cake Stomp festival last week. I reviewed the whole show, which you can read at ReadJunk.com.

I never been to Cake Stop before so didn’t know how the lighting was going to be. I brought my speedlight along just in case and glad I did. Even though I used it on and off for this show, I definitely liked the shots better with the flash. I usually avoid flash or aren’t allowed to use it but in this case, it was necessary. The front lighting is red and then there’s Christmas lights on the ceiling. The photos are okay without a speedlight, but I had to crank up the ISO to 6400.
