Gaslight Anthem have been making some noise since their debut album ‘Sink or Swim.’ Now they have been attracting even more fans with their hot new release ‘The 59 Sound’ off Side One Dummy. I became a fan of the band with their EP release of ‘Senor and the Queen’ and I hadn’t seen them live until this show. I’ve heard great things about their live show and they certainly didn’t disappoint. If you like their new album, you have to make an effort to go out and see these guys perform!

Saw Gaslight Anthem last night at Cafe Metropolis in Wilkes-Berre (Berry), PA. The band was incredible and I highly recommend seeing them live. I took photos of all 4 bands (The Menzingers, Polar Bear Club, and American Steel), even though the photos are nothing special; I’ll have them up this weekend so be sure to come back Saturday or Sunday. Plus there will be a full review on ReadJunk.com.

I’ve been meaning to take a trip to Eastern State Penitentiary every since I saw it on the episode of Ghost Hunters. It just looked like a cool place with a lot of history and looked like it would be great to take pictures of as well. That certainly was the case since a lot of people at the prison had a good camera. I went down to Philly with my girlfriend Kristen, my twin brother Matt and we met up with our friend Jim to take us around the city and be our tour guide.

Instead of doing a blog on each set of the bands for this tour, i’ll just write up one giant blog. Last year, the Queers played Cafe Metropolis in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This year, they came back with the rest of the bands from the Asian Man Records tour. The other bands on the tour included Kepi Ghoulie from the Groovie Ghoulies, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Bomb The Music Industry and Lemuria.
