Backyard Superheroes @ Skanksgiving, Starland Ballroom, Sayreville, NJ – 11.30.19

It’s always fun taking pictures of the Backyard Superheroes, which is usually the Gary show since it’s all over the place. Plus, since Josh is a fellow music photographer, the rest of the photographers are allowed to sit in the pit for the entire set. Unfortunately, it’s usually only about 20 minutes since they open the show and there are bunch of bands on the bill.

For this set, I used the 24-70mm f2.8 lens mostly, but also brought along my 14-24mm f2.8 and actually brought 50mm f1.4 this time to to mess around with it. I was switching lenses with my brother, who was also shooting the show so we kept changing lenses in-between songs.
