Reel Big Fish @ Starland Ballroom, Sayreville, NJ – 11.23.18

Reel Big Fish were a blast to shoot yet again. Been taking pictures of them since 2007, but have been seeing them since 1996/1997. I did a podcast with Johnny Christmas if you want to listen to that here.

The lighting was so much brighter than the other sets, which thank god for that! You get an energetic band like RBF, you want the light to be bright so your photos come out sharp. For the first song, I stuck around Aaron and then for the next song I went by the horn players. Last song I tried to go all around the pit to cover whoever I could get. The pit was crowded with photographers and bouncers so it was a bit hard to navigate. Plus there were crowd surfers knocking into me so had that factor to worry about as well. All in all, fun show to shoot and thankfully got the best photos for Reel Big Fish.
