Young Dubliners @ Knitting Factory, Brooklyn, NY – 9.5.18
September 9, 2018 | Concert Photography
Young Dubliners made their return to Brooklyn at Knitting Factory again and brought the goods as usual. It wouldn’t be a normal year if I didn’t get to see one of my favorite Celtic bands play.
You can read my review of the show over at ReadJunk.com.
Just like The Narrowbacks’ set, there wasn’t much in terms of front lighting. Too much back lighting but I still managed to get some cool photos of the band. and Keith was doing his drop pose when playing the guitar but for some reason I was just missing them this show. I got him doing that once or twice though. Bob isn’t in the band anymore but their new guitarist was doing some cool rock poses. Sometimes Brendan hangs in the back but not this show, he seemed to be more up front. Chas is always cool to capture since he plays a few different instruments. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that many photos of Dave playing the drums.
Other than that, not much else to say. I shot this set mostly around ISO 3200 and around 1/250th. I used the 24-70mm f2.8 for the most part, with maybe one song I tried the 50mm f1.4 but didn’t like the way the photos were coming out.
