Young Dubliners @ Mercury Lounge, NYC – 9.25.17
September 28, 2017 | Concert Photography
Young Dubliners played Mercury Lounge on Monday night and it was a great time, like usual. You can read my review of the show over at ReadJunk.com.
I’ve shot the Young Dubs many times, in various venues but not at Mercury Lounge yet. I mainly just sat up front and shot from one side of the stage and then would move over to the other side to get other angles so I could. Lighting didn’t change much throughout their set and was a bit dark, but still had decent front lighting. It was just a little dim.
I was shooting around ISO 3200 in the beginning and bumped it up to ISO 4000 a few songs into the set. I used the 24-70mm f2.8 lens for the majority of the set but also used 14-24mm and 70-200mm f2.8 lenses at some point as well. I should have just sat in the back for some of the show with the 70-200 lens because it’s just an awesome lens and produces some great shots.
