The Push Stars headlined Foodstock 9 at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY. This was the third time seeing The Push Stars, but it was pretty rare event for them to get together. You can read my full review of the show over at ReadJunk.com.
I shot the entire set for the Push Stars, which is how I like it. I got the chance to shoot up in the balcony too and filmed some video as well. It’s nice getting shots up in the balcony but you gotta get some shots up close as well. The lighting was just like the other sets and I used all three of lenses (14-24, 24-70, and 70-200mm f2.8 lenses).
Out of the three shows I shot of the Push Stars, this one was the best because lighting was good and they were in a decent size venue. First time it was as Maxwells and the lighting the poor. Plus I believe I had my older camera. Second time was outside for the Hoboken Music and Arts Festival but nothing compares to seeing them the band on a proper big stage rockin’ out. Let’s hope it’s not another 4 years the next time I see them on stage together again.
Prints in this set are available for purchase! Just email which photo(s) you’re interested in (please provide alt tag or #) and I’ll give you a quote. Photos are also available for licensing to your website, magazine, Facebook page, etc. as well.
