Blizzard 2016 in Jersey City, NJ – 1.23.16
January 23, 2016 | Other Photography
We finally got our snow and it’s been a doozy. Blizzard 2016 has brought Jersey City about 2 feet of snow or close to it. After sitting inside all day watching movies and the little one, I needed a photo walk around my neighborhood of Paulus Hook.
I pretty much walked in a 4 block radius up Washington Street to Sussex Street, walked along that street Green St. And then headed back down on Essex Street buy the Light Rail stop and back to my street. I saw a few cars not doing what they should be doing and driving in the streets. Or I should say, trying to since every one of them were stuck. A lot of people were out in spots, playing in the snow and sleigh riding at one spot that was safe from cars or snow plows. I guess i’ll be out there doing that next year.
I didn’t bother taking any other lenses or the tripod since it was snowing pretty badly out when I was walking. By the end of the walk, I couldn’t see out of my glasses and my camera was soaked. Hopefully that doesn’t mess things up later on.
