Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade 2015 @ Tompkins Square Park, NYC – 10.24.15

I wasn’t sure if I was going to make the 25th Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade this year in the East Village, but I managed to find time to do so! So many people, so many dogs in clever Halloween costumes. Prepare for the cuteness overload!

I arrived at Tompkins Square Park at 11am and had to make a visit to Joe Strummer mural at Niagara before going to the park. It’s probably the best mural of Joe so far at that location. Eventually the dog costumes and their owners (dressed up as well) showed up and the puprazzi frenzy started. My favorites were the French and English bulldogs, and the chihuahuas, and other dogs.

The three little pigs one was a big hit early on. I particularly loved seeing Marty McFly dog, the Game of Thrones themed one, and Jurassic “Bark” dogs. The cage had a loud roar, which seemed to attract other dogs nearby. I decided to walk around after being in the same spot along the line. That was probably a bad idea since it was so packed it was hard to walk around. I tried to take some pictures as I was walking out but once the hordes of people showed up, I was dog parade out.
