Masked Intruder @ Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park, NJ – 8.15.15

Masked Intruder are always fun to shoot, and they played third at the Fat Wreck show at Stone Pony Summerstage last week. Read my incredible long review of the show here.

Once Masked Intruder hit the stage, I knew it was going to be a different set for photos. The fact that they wear ski masks (in 90 degree weather) always amuses me. I wanted to get a shot of them playing basketball backstage but couldn’t get over to take the shot. I stuck with the 24-70mm f2.8 lens for the first song, and then switch to the other lenses afterwards.

I wanted to go over to Green Intruder since he was jumping a lot and I got some cool shots of him. The 14-24mm f2.8 lens works great when musicians come up close to the stage, so you can get that extreme wide angle look. I wish I had the entire set to shoot them because they are very entertaining.
