The Skints @ Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn, NY – 5.2.15
May 6, 2015 | Concert Photography
I’ve been waiting to take pictures of The Skints as soon as I heard their new album FM. I knew it was a matter of time before they came over to the States to play some shows and they were just amazing! If you get a chance to see them play, DO IT!
I’ve only been to Brooklyn Bowl one other time, so I didn’t really remember much about it but I knew they didn’t have a photo pit. The lighting for this show was excellent, colorful and bright. For the Skints, the crowd was still coming in so it was easy to move around to get different shots of the band on stage. I couldn’t help but dance in my spot and shoot photos.
I left my 14-24mm f2.8 lens at home but kind of wish I brought it since I was almost too close with 24-70mm f2.8 at times. I left it home because I had to make room for mics and recorders since my twin brother and I did a quick session with the Skints for Before The Concert. I did use the 70-200mm f2.8 lens for a few as well, mainly to get other members from the opposite stage or closeups. I don’t know if the lighting is this good for every show at Brooklyn Bowl, but it was terrific for this show.
