Danny Burns Band @ Knitting Factory, Brooklyn, NY – 9.10.14
September 13, 2014 | Concert Photography
I’m back photographing shows after a very, very sporadic summer. There were some ska shows, Carbon Leaf and Ziggy Marley but I’m back! Danny Burns Band opened up the Young Dubliners show on September 10th.
You can read my somewhat full review over at ReadJunk.com.
I don’t know what it is with the lighting at Knitting Factory, but the lighting always seems better for the openers than the headliner. The lighting was bright for Danny Burns so I can’t complain for this set. Since there wasn’t a lot of people around, I move around to get some different angles with a few lenses. I shot a lot of the set with 85mm f1.8 lens since my twin brother stole my telephoto lens for the majority of the summer for soccer games. Not like I needed that one but when it’s not that crowded, I like to stand back a little and just take pictures without being noticed. I also used my 24-70mm f2.8 lens and shot a few photos with the 50mm f1.4. That’s about it for this one.
