Go Big @ The Rock Shop, Brooklyn, NY – 6.1.14

The final night of the Asbestos Records NYC Ska Festival (a.k.a Apple Womp) was at a bigger club in Brooklyn called The Rock Shop. The opening band was Go Big and featured members of High School Football Heroes. Read the full concert review over at my other site ReadJunk.com.

I didn’t see all go Go Big’s set since I was upstairs but caught the last few songs. I never been to the Rock Shop before but the lighting was decent but I still ended up using my speedlight since I was allowed. I’ve always been anti-flash at shows, mainly since it’s not allowed but lately I just been going that route when I can. I’d rather have the shots be in focus and sharp then grainy and slightly in focus. For this set, I think I was playing around with the settings and seeing how the club was. I ended up using the flash a little for this set but mainly shot this at ISO 4000 without a flash.
