Sammy Kay and the Fast Four @ Cake Shop, NYC – 5.31.14
June 11, 2014 | Concert Photography
Sammy Kay and the Fast Four rocked the Cake Shop during Day 2 of the Asbestos Records NYC Ska Festival. You can read my full review over at ReadJunk.com.
There are some bands I just can’t help but dance to when I see them. I’m right in front, I’m not going to just stand there and be obnoxious and take pictures. Sure, I’ll do that if there’s no photo pit area. Sammy Kay got everybody dancing, including myself and I loved his set. It was probably one of my favorite sets of the 3 nights. For the most part I was happy with the photos that I took but could have gotten some better ones of Vic from across the stage. but then again, I got my fair share of him the night before.
I also shot a video of Sammy performing “Sweet Misery.” My drunken friend Elliot got a little too pushy when dancing and I called him an asshole on film, so that’s always funny to hear when re-watching the video.
