The Ataris @ Irving Plaza, NYC – 3.30.14
April 3, 2014 | Concert Photography
The Ataris ended up playing a little later than I would have liked but still caught half of their set. If you want, you can read my full review over at ReadJunk.com.
The lighting was hit or miss for this set of the Ataris. Some of it was good but not every member was well-light. A lot of the ugly red and blues returned for some of the songs. There were more photographers in the pit too so had to maneuver around carefully. I got a bunch of great ones of Mike the bass player, who was one of the more animated of the bunch. Donald was animated too but he was one of the guys that was in the dark pretty much. I can’t remember if I photographed The Ataris before but if I did, it was with my film camera and at the Warped Tour. It was cool to take pictures of them finally.
