Koo Koo Kanga Roo @ Terminal 5, NYC – 11.27.13
December 1, 2013 | Concert Photography
Koo Koo Kanga Roo opened for Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls at Terminal 5 in NYC the other day and they were definitely interesting.
I reviewed the show over at ReadJunk.com so check that out if you want to know more about the show itself.
For the first minute or so, the kiddie lyric rap duo were just standing around and talking. They were teasing the photographers that we were all from Rolling Stone magazine and then they broke out the 90s music and started to do some exercising and warm-ups. They were moving around a lot and at times was difficult to get some shots in focus but I got a couple of decent shots of Koo Koo Kanga Roo. For Terminal 5, the lighting can be good but most times it’s not that great for the openers. It could have been a little bit brighter but it wasn’t too bad. I shot around ISO 3200 and tried to have a shutter speed of 1/200 so things weren’t too blurry but sometimes I had to go lower than that.
