Ballyhoo! headlined Gramercy Theatre Thursday night and did an awesome job at closing out the show. Before the concert, I filmed Howi in Madison Square Park which was fun and should be on BeforeTheConcert.com within the next 2-3 weeks.

I wish the lighting was brighter for Ballyhoo, because it was kind of dark in spots. The front lighting wasn’t really there and it proved a bit difficult in trying to get some sharp images of the band. Later on when I moved back in the seating area it seemed okay then. For this set, I used the 24-70mm f2.8 lens and then later on switched to the telephoto lens 70-200mm f2.8. I believe I was shooting around ISO 4000 for this set too.
Had a great time shooting this show and I do like Gramercy Theatre’s lighting better than Irving Plaza’s lighting, but sometimes it’s a bit too inconsistent.
Prints in this set are available for purchase! You’ll certainly help me out if you bought a print or two! They make lovely gifts.
