The Queers @ Santos Party House, NYC – 3.2.13
March 4, 2013 | Concert Photography
The Queers finished off the Santos Party House show last, like they should be, and played their usual stuff PLUS some pop songs I haven’t heard them play before! It was a perfect night of punk rock!

It seems like every time I shoot a Queers show, I’m always in the back of the club. Well this was no different! I actually wanted to be in the back in the club since they have a lounge that’s above the crowd a little. I didn’t want to risk it in the crowd, especially if there isn’t a pit or anything. Bands don’t like the pit though. Its fun watching people stage dive and mosh, but rather watch from the sidelines.
Like the other sets, I shot this set with 70-200mm f2.8 lens, ISO 6400 and sometimes switched from FX and DX modes on the camera to get an extra zoom in there. The lighting wasn’t as good as Masked Intruder’s lighting but I still thought I got decent photos under the conditions. I could have used my flash if I wanted to but I was trying not to. But anywho….
