The first band I shot for the Vans Warped Tour this year was Christian metal band The Devils Wears Prada. I haven’t heard their music before but I don’t think I really heard it at the concert anyway since it’s nothing but screaming. But despite that, they at least make some great faces for photographs. I just wish the band didn’t spit so god damn much. Oops I said god damn…
The band came on around 11:55am on the main stage and the crowd seemed to really like them. I didn’t but that’s okay, I don’t have to like everybody. I was there for the punk veterans for the most part but wanted to check out some other bands. The frontman of Devil Wears Prada gave some great poses, especially when he was screaming close to the front of the stage. For this set, I used my 18-70mm f3.5-4.5 lens.

This sounds weird but I’m from the area and I go to a lot of the same shows as you so I follow your website. It’s funny to look at your pictures and be like, hey I was there. I saw you taking pictures during Flogging Molly on Wednesday. I was going to say hi afterward and tell you I enjoy your website but that would be creepy. P.S. TDWP isn’t my kind of music but your pictures make them look good :p

I didn’t get to go to warped tour this year, but im planning on going next year! I love Jeremy Depoyster! hes got the best voice i’ve EVER heard. Besides bill kaulitz. hes got the voice of an angel. but, still, i love tdwp!
i love devil wears prada!! they arent for everybody though… but personally i loved them in concert at warped i was front row for them and 311 it was so sick!

I’m a big fan of The Devil Wears Prada, and you captured them perfectly. They’re a crazy band that constantly runs around. I saw that you didn’t enjoy them as much as I do, but it was refreshing to see someone reframe from saying “this band sucks because I’m not into this style of music.” or something of the sort. I was at this Warped Tour and I got see all the bands you got pictures of except of the Gallows. They all put on amazing shows. Thanks for the photos.
